Our annual Father/Son retreat is happening in September and we want you and your son there. If you are at all interested in participating, the required Father Training is happening Wednesday, August 20th 6 pm - 8 pm in room C206 (located upstairs above the baptistry/gym). This is also a great meeting to attend if you just want more information. During this training you’ll be informed on how to prepare to invest in your son during Son-Rite. If you are a mom reading this and there isn’t a dad in your son’s life, perhaps another man could fill this all-important role: a stepfather, an uncle or a grandfather. At our Son-Rite Legacy Weekend, we gather fathers and their teenage sons to get away to intentionally strengthen their relationship with each other and with Jesus. This father/son bond is critical as we teach boys to become men and navigate the various pressures of godless times. Son-Rite calls us to the wisdom of the Bible and gives dad the opportunity to inject confidence into the heart of his son. Whether you, Dad, have a strong relationship with your son or not, whether he is a believer in Christ yet or not, whether he lives with you or not, this weekend will make a HUGE difference in his decision to follow Jesus and the Scriptures. *Son-Rite is for sons ages 12-17 and their dad (only one son per dad at a time – if you have more than one son in this age bracket, bring the oldest son this year and come back with his brother next year). Space is limited. Registration for the retreat closes August 20 or when full. Cost is $195 for Father/Son pair ($97.50 per person).
